Postpartum Doula
Nurture Moon Birth Services is a warm and inclusive doula experience. I support families of all types, who are wanting exceptional and personal support as you welcome new life into the world. As a doula and licensed practical nurse, I feel strongly about creating a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment during this magical time in your life.
The postpartum experience can be joyous and challenging. As a postpartum doula, I help families ease into the transition of having a newborn in their home. I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to help ease your transition into parenthood. During this fourth trimester adjustment, it is my priority to create a safe space, where you have the ability to feel supported, heard, and respected.
Meet Emily
I'm a native Oregonian, with a love of the Pacific North west, and yes, I drive a Subaru, wear Birkenstock's, and love the rain.
I love a good cup of coffee, a crackling campfire, the color purple, and have a love for being cozy.
I love quirky, dry humor (Think The Office), and to laugh until I have tears in my eyes.
I've been married to my best friend, and high school sweetheart since 2017.
I've been a nurse for 9 years, and work as a birth assistant, postpartum nurse, and clinic nurse for a Birth Center, and Family Practice.
In my free time I love to work on special craft projects, cook, bake, kayak and go camping.
Emily's Experience
What Does A Postpartum Doula Do?
Why Hire A Postpartum Doula?
The overwhelm of chaos, joy, and huge hormonal fluctuations can put new parents in a place of sheer survival. Successful newborn care starts with successful self care.
So beyond caring for your new baby, your postpartum doula will help you get back to the basics: sleep, eat, and drink water. Taking a mental health break, a nap, or getting a full night of rest can change your entire experience.
Scheduling postpartum doula visits provides new parents with the physical, emotional, and informational support they need during the fourth trimester.
How Much Does A Postpartum Doula Cost?

Custom Baby Mobiles & Wall Hangings
Growing up, I was surrounded by creativity. My parents and grandparents always gave us the opportunity to participate in whatever projects they were working on.
Because of this, I've always had a passion to create. Over the last few years, I've been honored to curate many special baby mobiles and wall hangings.
Each one of these is carefully curated and hand sewn, to be enjoyed for years to come. Custom baby mobiles and wall hangings start at $50, and take roughly 4 weeks to complete.

Kind Words
"Emily was kind, had a good sense of humor (which was needed) & helped us as needed. She cooked & brought us good food, & checked in on us frequently.
She was very supportive & called the Midwife when we had concerns about our babies breathing. We appreciated this as she took our concern seriously & didn't pretend to know everything. She's great!"
